Making an Impression
Thanks to iTero 3D scanning technology, the era of messy dental impressions is now a thing of the past. With the iTero Scanner, we can generate an exceptionally precise digital replica of your mouth without the inconvenience of traditional methods. During your consultation, we’ll explore the smile enhancements you desire, estimate the treatment duration, and determine the most suitable Invisalign system tailored to your needs.

Computer Assisted Design
By harnessing CAD technology, we can meticulously plan each phase of your treatment, enabling you to visualize your final outcome before commencing the process. Computer-assisted design plays a pivotal role in our treatment approach, empowering us to digitally map out the anticipated appearance of your new smile with precision and accuracy.

Production
To initiate the production of your initial set of aligners, we’ll transmit your scans to the Invisalign® laboratory. Throughout the treatment process, the majority of patients typically wear between 7 (for Invisalign® i7 patients) and 14 aligners (for Invisalign® Lite). However, for more intricate cases, the number of aligners can be unlimited for up to 5 years, ensuring comprehensive support and success in achieving desired results.

A Perfect Fit
Once your aligners are received, we’ll promptly reach out to inform you, allowing you to commence your treatment journey. During your appointment, we’ll ensure the aligners fit snugly and provide guidance on proper removal and care. To facilitate tooth movement, discreet tooth-colored attachments may be affixed to a few teeth, aiding in securing the aligners in their designated positions. Additionally, as part of your treatment plan, we may occasionally perform polishing in crowded areas to create space for effective movement.

Care During Treatment
We’ll provide detailed instructions on when to transition to the next set of aligners and offer guidance on maintaining optimal oral health throughout your treatment. While the majority of your treatment occurs at home, periodic visits are necessary to monitor progress and make any necessary adjustments during your Invisalign® journey. Each set of aligners must be worn for a specified duration to accomplish the intended tooth movement effectively. Rest assured, we’re here to advise you on the appropriate duration for wearing each aligner before progressing to the next stage of your treatment.

Keeping Your New Smile
Now that you’ve achieved your stunning new smile, you’re all set to dazzle! However, teeth tend to shift over time, so it’s essential to wear a retainer to maintain the integrity of your beautiful new smile. After completing your aligner therapy, you’ll receive retainers to ensure your smile remains perfect. Additionally, patients who have undergone treatment for both upper and lower teeth will receive complimentary teeth whitening, adding a finishing touch for an even more radiant smile!

Vipul is a general dental practitioner at the practice but also has a special interest in orthodontics (straightening teeth). He is an accredited provider of Invisalign clear braces and having been a provider of Invisalign for over 12 years, he has completed hundreds of cases of all degrees of complexity.
